Instructors/assistants may nominate dances at any time before January 31, 5:00 p.m. Each instructor/assistant can nominate two dances. Nominated dances must have music that is available for purchase.

 

From the nominated dances, 16 are chosen as the proposed dances for the current year. These dances are taught at the Instructor's Workshop in August. On September 1, instructors choose 10 of these dances to be danced at the New Mexico Line Dance Jamboree.

The window for nominating dances for the 2028 New Mexico Line Dance Jamboree is 2025, 2026, and January 2027.​​​
